Anderson County sheriff’s deputies are searching for two men who robbed a Pizza Hut in Powdersville at gunpoint.

The robbery happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Pizza Hut on S.C. 153.

Pizza Hut employees told deputies that two men entered the restaurant, pointed a “long gun” at their faces and told the workers to give them all the money in the cash register.

The amount of money that the robbers got away with has not been disclosed.

Sheriff’s spokesman Chad McBride said that one of the restaurant workers injured herself trying to run away either during or after the robbery but she was not seriously hurt.

Authorities do not have a good description of the robbers.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Anderson Area Crime Stoppers at (888) CRIME-SC or to visit the group’s website at www.andersonareacrimestoppers.com.

McBride said the organization will offer a reward for information that leads to arrests in the case.

The amount of the reward was not specified.
