Sgt. Steve Stoltz said officers responded to the area in the 700 block of East 33rd Street North several times overnight to calls of shots fired.

The third time officers found the body of a 31-year-old man – apparently shot but possibly stabbed – in a yard near his family’s home, Stoltz said.

The victim’s name was not being released Thursday morning.
