Camerons posts double-digit PEP increase as revenues grow 5%

CMS Cameron McKenna has posted a double-digit increase in profits per equity partner (PEP) against a 5% increase in turnover.

The firm has announced unaudited turnover of £225m for the 2010-11 financial year, up from £214m last year, with PEP standing at £500,200 – around 11% up on the 2009-10 figure of £452,000.

The performance comes after Camerons last year saw revenues fall by nearly 11%, with PEP dropping by just over 18%.

Taking Camerons’ performance into account, the wider CMS network posted combined annual turnover of €757.7m (£656.7m), up 3% from last year’s figure of €737.5m (£639m).

Man arrested in shooting of Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputy

A judge signed the warrant for Prince on complaints of shooting with intent to kill and robbery with a firearm. Knight said Sunday. He is one of two men police think were behind the attack on sheriff’s Maj. John Waldenville. Police have not identified the second person they think was involved in the attack.

Price was arrested Sunday afternoon, but Knight said he didn’t yet have any details about the arrest.

Waldenville, 60, was shot just after midnight Saturday as he took the deposit from Cattlemen’s Steakhouse, 1309 S Agnew Ave., to a nearby bank, officials said.

He remained in critical condition Sunday morning at OU Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Bruce Sanders, 48, was arrested Monday and is set for an initial appearance in McIntosh County District Court Wednesday afternoon, a jail official said.

Infamous killer Glen Burton Ake dies in prison hospital

Ake, 55, died of natural causes. His attorney, Irven Box, said he was told Ake had a heart attack.

Ake was serving two life sentences for fatally shooting an Okarche minister and his wife.

He once had been on death row, but the jury at a retrial chose the life terms instead.

Ake was convicted of murdering the Rev. Richard Douglass and his wife, Marilyn, on Oct. 15, 1979. He also shot the Douglass children, Brooks and Leslie, as the family lay bound on the living room floor.

Second suspect arrested in March shooting in Oklahoma City

Boyd also was wanted for questioning in connection with the March 30 shooting death of Christopher Robinson, 25.

Homicide detectives added a murder complaint to Boyd’s arrest after he was interviewed Thursday.

On March 30, police were sent to SW 38 and Villa and found Robinson dead in a car.

After speaking with witnesses, police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Geary Birdine, who turned himself in at the Oklahoma County jail.

Police said they are still looking for other suspects in connection with the shooting.
